During these trying times, we at French Riviera Film Festival would like to provide our followers a chance to see all of the wonderful shorts featured in our 2019 inaugural festival, held in Cannes, France, during the Cannes Film Festival.

Beginning this Friday, we plan to post on our official site one film each day from our winning shorts and finalist selections, so that film fans from around the globe who did not attend FRFF 2019 in Cannes, may enjoy them from the comfort of their homes.

The films will be available online through the end of April.

The 2nd annual FRFF has been rescheduled and relocated to June 8 & 9, 2020 in Santa Monica, California, the "Riviera West." We would like to offer filmmakers of short film and short-form content a special discount code "FRFF20A" for 20% submissions on Film Freeway. https://filmfreeway.com/FrenchRivieraFilmFestival This code will be valid until April 30, 2020.

A Grand Journey (Winner - Best Documentary)

Born and raised in Jackson, WY Kira has found a great love for the outdoors. Her lifestyle involves hiking, skiing, biking and pursuing her career as a yoga instructor. Kira was born with a rare birth defect and had her lower leg amputated as a child. Since being able to walk, she has used a prosthetic leg. While some might see this as a major setback, Kira's fiery passion and athleticism drives her to achieve her goals and amaze those around her with her achievements. Climbing the iconic Grand Teton has been a childhood dream of Kira's. In A Grand Journey short documentary film we get an intimate look into Kira’s unique but incredibly relatable journey as she attempts to take on a goal she herself may not believe is possible.

Reflections

Vincent De Paul is a US film producer who, in this short film, embarks on a spiritual journey throughout Europe, seeking inspiration and enlightenment on his way. He visits the beautiful Gower Peninsula in magical Wales, and is instantly drawn into the essence of Wales itself. He is intrigued by what he sees in the Gower -its beautiful beaches, its craggy rocks and its ruined castles. He is especially fascinated to read about its rich history and past glory. He visits Weobley castle, walking along corridors and into dungeons, and begins to “travel” back in time.
